What is the density of artificial turf

Another important factor for judging the quality of artificial grass is the density.It refers to the number of tufting stitches per square meter.Take the gauge:20 stitches/10cm,200 stitches/1m as an example,if 3/4”gauge (1.905cm),the number of rows per meter is 52.5(rows=per meter/gauge;100cm/1.905cm=52.5),then the density=rows*stitches per meter(52.5*200=10500);then 3/8, 5/8, 3/16, 5/16 gauge derive the density as 21000, 12500, 42000, 25200, etc.

Nevertheless,it should also be noted artificial turf density is closely related to the Dtex and pile height we mentioned before,if the pile height and Dtex are high,the set density can be lower down appropriately.
